What Is HCG?
HCG stands for human chorionic gonadotropin. It is a hormone produced during pregnancy. One of it's functions is to trigger the hypothalamus to mobilize the mother's stored fat. In pregnant women, this fat is used to ensure the growing fetus receives the nutrients it requires. In non-pregnant women and men following a restricted diet, the HCG hormone mobilizes the stored fat but since there is no fetus present, the body uses the fat for energy or releases the rest through elimination. Using the HCG hormone for weight loss is a safe and effective way to shed 10-30 extra pounds in just 26 days!
